Vanilla's Friday

O.K. so here is the recipe

You will need : 500 ml of milk
                        10 tbsp of flour
                          2 eggs
pinch of salt  ( I use pink- Himalayan salt )
                         20 g of Vanilla Sugar
( I also add bit of Stevia natural sweetener for extra sweet taste) optional ;D

            Coconut oil for frying

Mix all the ingredients , it is so easy. Let the mixture rest for 15 minutes.
I fry my pancakes in coconut oil. Because I believe it's a healthier option , but you can use sunflower oil also.
Well, before  I can give my pancakes away, I do have to taste them.
Today, just simple ; my Mum's special "home made apricot jam" my absolute favorite. Single cream and chocolate also, so I don't
disappoint my man ;)
Have to keep some for him too.

Put 50 g of dark chocolate in a small bowl with 2 tsp of coconut oil and put into microwave , 15 seconds, stir and repeat 2 more times until all chocolate has melted into  glossy and is easy to pour chocolate. You can use  bananas or blueberries  for the filling instead of just jam..Choice is yours :)
Here they are...So yummy...
I made pancakes from a half of the mixture and the other half I used differently.
 (My golden apple snack )
If you have some apples you can try this:
Peel apples, slice them into circles - like this
Take the seeds out.
Bath  round bits of apple in a pancake mixture and fry them, as you would fry pancakes.
Sprinkle them with powder sugar .                                               These are so tasty when they are fresh. No time for them  to cool...
They will be gone, before you know it !

Vanilla's Friday

 Morning :)
Just opened my curtains, and am being greeted by my beautiful Orchid ...
It is blooming again... :D It is the one I  got from my girlfriends last year, when I wasn't very well....
O kettle is boiling , can't wait to warm up with my morning cuppa.
It is  Friday, and am going to visit some elderly couple that I have known for years...So thought I'll make some pancakes for them...The pancakes my Mum is so famous for ....

The VANILLA PANCAKES are a perfect treat on Vanilla's Friday ;)

4 flavours together :)

Cinnamon's Wednesday

Mamas day

I love my life as a mum and wife, I really do :-). But every day seems to be so busy. Today I'm not working, so I can have a sleep in with Toblerone, my mini flavour, until around 7:30. Wow... After breakfast we go to a playgroup and on our way back we have a quick stop by the swings. Then hurry hurry home so I can cook lunch. I made a lovely macaroni cheese with vegetables, and guess what hubby said when he came home: "And where's my meat?" Mmmh, or grrrr... Why can't men live without their meat, or maybe it's just mine.. Anyway he enjoyed his meal as I promised him chorizo sausages for dinner :-).

This afternoon the flavours will meet for coffee. I'm looking forward to that!

Ginger's Tuesday

Hi everyone! This is my first post on the blog and I don't know really how to begin. So maybe I just let you know that my life has changed completely...couple weeks ago I became a MUM of a little girl. It's a wonderful feeling to hold her in my arms and look at her every day how she grows. As you know I love crochet  so before she was born I made for her a  teddy bear. That's what it looks like;

I hope you like it. Later on I can give you the link on You Tube how to make it. There is more projects on the way and I can't wait to show you when I finished them.

Back to Paris

Back to Paris:)
Te second I always do in a new place is to find best way to move around, quick and cheap :)
In Paris that would be definitely subway.
Subway system is very well organised, you can get everywhere in short time, avoiding traffic. And about traffic, the French or maybe shall I say Parisian drivers are so impatient and I say that being very polite. Also considering Paris is extremely expensive, price for subway ticket is reasonable.
Just a quick view on subway :) ( I just tend to take picture of everything )

Vanilla's winter walk...

Winter walk with my Darling...

All wrapped up , off we go for our winter walk in
Avington Park...The village is like a fairy tail...
And you will soon know why ?

The impressive Manor House, is the feature of this village, with the beautiful lake. Don't forget your binoculars if you like bird watching ;) In Summer months you can walk around and get a Cream Tea at the cafe behind the house...You might also get disturbed by screeching of peacocks hiding on the roof of the house often. Horses are grazing on the meadows...It is just beautiful...

Look at these trees , how majestic they are. And how much Mistletoe is on them. Perfect place for a kiss.
                         ;)

Each time I walk around this hairy humps living in the swamps, I want to take a picture...They are amazing ! Just imagine, they come into life at night...;D O no, bad , bad story for kids, when you want them to go to sleep. Ha ha

It is always nice to see some beautiful swans...
         " A Swan Lake "

Yesterday, we came across some Snow Drops, first flowers out - sign of  The Spring ??
That would be  nice.

And at last, but not least, enjoy the View from the wonderful swing....it will give you wings.
                                  ;D

This is an ultimate fairy tail scene. Shetland Pony pulling the cart with a little girl and a dog on it.
That was when we met some nice locals :)
who kindly offered us some chocolate Brownies , as they were picnicking on the go. How nice. We couldn't resist and helped ourselves to yummy squares.
Sweet end to our Fairy tail walk through the woods and meadows...

I would love to invite you girls too, come and see it with me sometime...Maybe a spring time would be a great time, as we could have a picnic in the meadows around the river ...

Vanilla's Friday

Morning. Am so lucky, getting up after 10 O'clock,it is a luxury for me, but I have a bit less work on today, almost ...just a fun day :)
So , will start it with my protein and Matcha Tea to give me energy, which I need for a work day and even more on my free day  because it is so much to manage, as you all probably experience too.
It is really a great boost , makes me feel energized even early in the morning.  I am drinking one of theese every morning (except weekends) I have all the vitamins, minerals and amino acids I need for the day... I will share that recepe with you one day , so you can try it and feel great, just like I do :D
I am invited to my friends house for a little get together, as my friend is going to be leaving. She is going home, to stay with her family and than give birth in her home town. I think everyone is already paying so much attention to the baby, and she will probably get lots of presents for her baby. I thought, I would like to get something for her, as in my opinion, Mum is as important, as the baby.
So will get myself into a shopping mood , shouldn't be too difficult ;D even though I prefer buying things impulsively, when I come across something nice and I think, wow, that would be a great present for someone. Looking for something in particular, it's stressful, as  you can't ever find, what you need. So we will see how it goes this time?

Cinnamon's Wednesday

New Years Resolutions

Our new year is now three weeks old - and I've already forgotten about my resolutions for this year, or at least nearly. Why did I start thinking about them again? Because I got my last Christmas present today :-). My hubby bought me a watch - well I told him which one I'd like to have. We bought it on the Internet after Christmas thinking the prizes would go down, which they didn't. Anyway today it arrived. And I love it!

Although I first thought it's a bit too big. But after wearing it for a while you get used to the size and even the weight ;-).

But back to my resolutions.
1. I want to go to the gym again cause I lost the kg that I wanted and now my body needs to be fit for the next summer, or shall I say for the next bikini season? - Well I'm still thinking about when to actually go and find a new gym.
2. I want to finish my photography course. I've started it in 2013 and I've done 5 units out of 18. - Well, I logged in once and thought: oh no, I really need to revise on all the stuff I've already learnt.
3. I want to be more patient and more relaxed. I always admire my hubby for being calm and chilled out especially when family life gets hectic. - But guess what, I stressed myself a couple of times for unfinished housework and a cranky toddler.
Mmh, I think New Year Resolutions are a good idea but that's about it?!
We'll see how it goes, I might change something tomorrow...
See you next Wednesday.

Ginger's Tuesday

Well, it's not Ginger it's Cinnamon instead. Our lovely new mum was in hospital with her little one today. We're thinking about her and hope everything will be alright soon!

Being a mum is not always easy. I still remember the early days. You are worried a lot because everything is new and you don't know what's going to happen. But guess what, it's not getting any easier.. But still children are best thing in the world and worth every wake night or tantrum...
I came home from work this evening thinking that 'Toblerone' (we still call our little girl that sometimes because it was my favourite chocolate during pregnancy) would be sleeping peacefully. I was wrong. I heard her crying the minute I opened the door. Hubby suggested she was probably waiting for me. I went upstairs and found her sitting in her cot saying Mama, Mama with a big smile on her face. You can't be angry with them, can you?! It was too sweet and I just had to cuddle her :-). Now she's in the lounge blowing kisses to me while very happily watching football with daddy.
I will enjoy my fruit salad now though ;-)...

Paris, my dream City:)

Paris

Here we go, my first own post :)
As I mentioned before I love traveling, so I thought I may share with you experience from my last trip.
Direction: Paris
Question: Go or not to go?
Answer: I say to go. Always, if you got a chance to see new place go checked by yourself if you like it or not.
There is few things I do when I get to visit new place.
1. Find the highest point, in Paris Eiffel Tower. Well what can I say just enjoy the view:)

To be continued, of course on Peppers Monday
