Amazing Avington Park...

Grass is still green and you have last two Sundays left to go to visit this beautiful place.
Season is ending last Sunday of September.

This is the entry gate.
Long road leading to the Avington Manor House
William Cobbett wrote of Avington that it was " one of the prettiest places in the County "and indeed it is true today. Avington Park, where Charles 2nd and George 4th both stayed at various times.

The State Rooms on view include the Ballroom, with its magnificent ceiling, the Red Drawing Room, and the Library. St.Mary's Church, one of the most perfect Georgian Churches in  Hampshire, is in the grounds close by and may be visited. Teas are available in the Orangery.

We came a bit early, so we were walking around a bit... These beauties were part of the luxurious feel to the place...
I managed to take this picture, in the hall, before I was told, it is not allowed to take pictures of the interiors...

I kindly asked if I could JUST take a picture, from the steps leading to the Ballroom.
 I loved the view.
I imagined myself being Royal for a minute...How would that feel...?
Amazing ....in my dreams...
Getting Married in Ballroom must be fantastic. I was then thinking of Cinnamon, how much she loved the place, when we went for picnic in Avington few months ago for that particular reason, so she could see it. I wish she saw it from inside. Wow...
The next room we visited was Red Drawing Room. It was also very beautiful.
The Library is the last room you can visit it was very impressive.
From there, we went straight to the Tea Room to get our promised Cream Tea ;D that was included in price of the ticket. Ticket was 15 pounds a person. Me, my Darling and his parents enjoyed the tour and a treat afterwards.
Scone on golden decorated plate tasted even better ;D Old cups and saucers make it look so much more authentic.

You can also sit outside and have your treat looking out onto St. Mary's Church...
The door is open, so you can go to visit after the tour. It is very nice , with the biggest Bible I ever seen.

Beautiful nature all around...

Horses walking afar close to the private Swan Lake...I think we counted and it was more then 30 swans in that lake...
What a leisure afternoon we had at Avington Park last Sunday.
I totally relaxed being surrounded by greenery, couldn't take my eyes of beautiful horses,  peacocks and butterflies...domesticated ducks, that were following us.

I highly recommend for anyone to go to visit this beautiful place in Hampshire. It is worth of seeing.
