Day like in the summer.

Hi People!

Isn't nice that we have a lovely weather in last couple days?  This is what we need after cold winter. To don't waist a time I went for a walk with my daughter to get some vitamin D which  is very important for child development. We enjoyed every minute of it. It could stay like that all the time, we love the sun. Maybe we can start planing a trip to the see soon, what do you think girls?

Do you remember that place?

Safari day

What an adventure: In the morning I climbed up the trees like a monkey and in the afternoon I went hunting. Any idea where I am or what exactly I did? No I didn't travel far ;-).

My day started with Go Ape right round the corner.
Have you ever done it, girls? It was amazing. The parcours seemed so easy but it wasn't. I've done it for the first time and I was scared several times. For example the zip wires were long and steep or the Tarzan swing was really breathtaking for me. But it was great fun and my adrenalin level was really high. Unfortunately I couldn't take pictures. Our instructor told us to better keep the pockets empty. If I do it again I'll ask someone to take a video of me screaming when jumping off a tree ;-).

And because those two and a half hours of fun were not enough I decided to go hunting, well just for clothes though lol. I bought two pairs of trousers. They were a real bargain. What do you think?

I like boot-cut jeans although they are a bit out of fashion.
Those ones are nice even for cooler summer days I hope ;-).

But now I am really tired and I better get some sleep. I wonder if my hands will be painful tomorrow...?

My new dendrobium orchid :)

Welcome back after Easter Holiday.
Hopefully you all enjoyed it and didn't eat to much :)) I would like to say sorry for  a delay. Unfortunately I missed my Monday. It was a long day at work, and wasn't nice. The only thing I could think of after 12 hours was shower and bed.
So what I would like to talk about today is my latest addition in my orchids collection. I thought I like to try with different type of orchids so I bought dendrobium. It was beautiful with amazing green flowers. For couple of months orchid was flowering and looking healthy and happy. Bu suddenly 2 months ago my plant started to loose leaves. I thought it is the same situation like with phalaenopsis, they have to loose old laves to create new one. But my dendrobium kept losing leaves nearly 1 every 2 days. I was terrified because my plant look like that now:
All the leaves are gone. I thought maybe the place is wrong, maybe to much water etc. But I was extra careful with my orchid, because it was new and different type. I didn't think I have done something wrong. I thought to myself bad luck I just bought poorly one. But I didn't throw my plant away, don't ever do that. You have to give your orchids a chance to adapt. After few days my orchid started to grow something right on the top. I presume that could be new leaves. Like I said it is my first  dendrobium so I'm still learning and guessing a lot. But at least now I can be all excited and not worry so much about my plant :)
I will post some more pictures of my orchid once it looks better. So don't ever give up on your orchids, they are a real fighters :)

Pirates of the flat corridor

Getting ready for the Pirate wedding of the year ;)

We had our friends around Mr and Mrs B. for an Easter meal.We were already serving the food as pirates :) , in style ;D . Our traditional Ham, with all the trimmings and I baked my own sweet bread with raisins, beetroot seasoned with horseradish is so good with this meal. Our friends also brought Pizza.

They made themselves into pirates too and we went out of the door excited and laughing a lot at how funny we all looked. We shut the door and realized none of us had a key !! :(
Fun was over !
No ,not really. My Darling and me exchanged few words, but I said :  "We are going to have fun tonight and tomorrow,we can have an argument. " So, that was that !
We enjoyed ourselves, it was so funny and surreal to be seeing people around dancing and having fun as pirates. I couldn't stop laughing as guys had theirs mustache's on and they colored few of their teeth black. My Darling went as Captain Jack Sparrow .He had a wig and hat on also.People kept saying he looked like Johny Depp. I turned into a gypsy girl later as I replaced my hat by a scarf,it was easier to be dancing in it ;)  Wedding was great fun! Few pirate songs we danced in absolute madness!
Unforgettable! We were talking about it all day and probably will be talking about it for weeks ;D

We spent the night at our friends house. I wasn't sleeping because I was already thinking of all different solutions how to open the door ,to get back home and get on with our plans for the Easter Sunday....
Believe me! Nothing went to plan...Can you imagine us two trying to break in to our own flat dressed as pirates !? We spent some time in the corridor. Well , that was not that funny at the time. Now, when day is over and we know we have got our keys back in my handbag and My darling in his pocket, even being out, it is a different feeling ;) Before we went out for evening family meal we checked on our keys a few times ;).....
Pirates of the corridor are safe home now, watching funny videos from last night....

Good Friday

It is Good Friday today ....Easter time has started...
For many people , today is a sad day.  For people, who believe, that Jesus Christ was sacrificed and died today for all of us.But we can be happy, because He gives us a hope for ever lasting life in Heaven. It is a beautiful thought, that the life here doesn't end and that we have a chance to live for ever :D Easter Story gives us hope....
For others Easter time is family time and celebration of Spring.
I love flowers and was so happy to find those pink Tulips , bunny rabbits and some chocolate treats that I just scattered  all over the table.  Hot cross buns are so traditional in England on Good Friday.

My Darling's parents came to visit us today , they brought some nice biscuits for us.
I put few Cross buns into  the oven, so we had them hot with the butter, that nicely melted into them...Tea and coffee also.
Hope you are having some today too, and enjoying them as much as we did.

Cinnamon, Pepper and Ginger, I sent some chocolates your way. Hope " Cinnamon delivery service " worked all right ;) Happy Easter to you girls.

                       HAPPY EASTER TO EVERYONE

Saturday's Party

Hi everyone!

As you know 4 Flavors had a party last Saturday and was marvelous. That was my first night out after having my little girl and it wasn't easy to leave her for a such long time. She was a bit unsettled and weepy before I left but my hubby took good care of her and I'm very proud of him. I can't wait next party cause after being a full time mum you need some ME time now and then.

I prepared some nice snacks for us: a platter of stuffed salami and ham, a platter of cheese
and same olives stuffed with almonds:

My cocktail for night was Pinacolada without alcohol cause I steel breastfeed but even that it was delicious. You only need a fresh pineapple and a tin of coconut milk...

...  I would forget some ice cubes as well. Mix all together and there it is:

Yummy yummy!

I brought with me a coffee set to make a nice french coffee which we drink with lovely cake made especially for me as an outstanding birthday cake...love you girls.

I even made a wish.

Sorry girls I couldn't stay for the pampering session but my breast needed expressing...

A night to remember

Our Saturday was really lovely! As Pepper and Vanilla already posted: great food, delicious cocktails, pampering and even shisha ;-). For me it was the first time out since pregnancy. It was really weird cause I didn't have to worry about how little flavour sleeps or waking up during the night for her milk. But hubby and Toblerone were happy to see me next day though ;-). They enjoyed their time together. My darling fell asleep with our sweetheart as she didn't want to go to bed on her own. He woke up after a few hours tidied up and went back to bed. Next morning he told me that it can be hard work with a toddler, as if I didn't know that, lol.
But back to our party. I cooked a chicken stew, a good base before you have a drink or two. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of how I made it so next time I cook it I will post the recipe and some pictures.
I made a creamy cocktail for all of us. It was in Pepper's cocktail book but I upgraded it and renamed it in Cinnamon's Teardrop. It contained gin, peaches and strawberries and cream as well as a dash of cinnamon flavour. I used tinned peaches and strawberries and blended them instead of nectar. It was a delicious cocktail or shall I say a drinkable dessert?
Mmh, I could have one now ;-). Cocktails are naughty cause you usually can't taste the alcohol and you drink more. But they are a real treat!
After music, shisha and enjoying ourselves we decided to have an other treat. First nails and at the end of our party...?
Remember I posted a picture of cream, strawberries and honey? That wasn't for the cocktail or an other dessert. I made a facial mask for us. It smelled nice, it tasted nice and it was even nicer for our skin.

So that was a party to remember. Looking forward to having a night out with you girls again :-)!
