Vanilla's Friday morning surprise :)

Morning...
Am so excited , and I can't hide it :)
I was told by my amazing man, that we are going away on Saturday. Tomorrow !!  So, now am wondering...
Where are we going for Valentines ? ;)
I think I will not know, until Saturday morning....The only thing I know, we are going for a few days. All the rest is a surprise!
So I need to get ready , get things packed. As you can imagine, it is not so easy to get ready to go away, when you don't know, where are you going !?
But it is exciting , can't wait !

Anyway...just thought I forgot to share  with you on Sunday :
We went for another Sunday walk and came across a beautiful carpet of flowers.
They were crocuses by the side of the road, making our walk so special.
And even more so, as I was taking pictures, I heard a bee buzzing. I instantly thought ;
That's a sign of Spring. But then, I wasn't so sure as I still felt quite cold outside and was a bit sorry for that little bee. :)


                                                                                         I hope it will warm up soon. I so miss the warmth of the sun... At the moment all the warmth am getting is, when I get back home and put my feet on radiator...How inspiring ..Ha ha I know, I prefer a real fire place, hope I will get one soon. And a lovely,cuddly, playful  Dachshund too :D
Don't I feel lucky today ? Dreaming about all this things...                                            

   
 I often imagine my beautiful garden, with lots of fruit trees and bushes , where I will go to pick my fruit. I think it is so much nicer to have useful plants in the garden, than just the ones to decorate the garden. Lots of fruit trees bloom beautifully and they also look nice when they are covered with fruit.  I would love to grow my own herbs, tomatoes and peppers also.
It always feels like I entered garden of Eden , when I go home to visit my parents...
They have some fruits there anytime of the year, to be ready to be picked and be eaten fresh. Fruit is  being used in absolutely wonderful cakes. We do have a lot of fruit at home, so not all of it can be used. So we jar it, freeze it, we make jam. My Dad loves to make some home made wine too. We usually  keep some for Christmas. It is special.
We love red currant or black currant wine. It is beautiful in colour and it tastes great. My Dad also made some Morello Cherry wine. This is more unusual. Also grape wine, which he makes every year, if we have enough fruit left as we eat lots of fresh fruit back home.

Wow I just realized how much I miss the sunshine and home ....Can't wait for Summer to come. But at the same time, I still enjoy my feet on the radiator for now , or at my friends fireplace. I am not wishing time away. One day at the time...Every season has it's own magic ;D
